Nika Antuanette
Nika is a professional dancer and 200 Hour certified yoga instructor who inspires others to be the best version of themselves. Her journey with Yoga started at the age of 11; she was naturally drawn to the asanas. Embodying the physical postures of yoga acted as a place for her to find balance in a non-judgmental space. Dance always felt like a home and rich territory for growth and expansion, yet Yoga offered the space between to experience things in a non-judgmental way. Since then, Nika has dedicated her life to learning and teaching others the transformative power of mindful movement. She continues to perform and choreograph, as well, utilizing ways to connect to pleasure and find joy in exerting effort or experiencing feelings of intensity. Dance is a metaphor for life, and Nika dives into that condition whole-heartedly through improvisation and structured movement sequences.
Her approach combines specific techniques with a light-hearted approach that helps her connect with her students on a deeper, intuitive level. Nika's passion for wellness has taken her across the country, where she has taught in-person private and group classes, as well as online sessions. She covers a range of topics, including Yoga (Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, & Restorative), Meditation (Loving Kindness, Mindfulness, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Walking, Moving, etc), Dance (Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Improv) and Mindful Movement, a unique hybrid format for people of all ages and levels of ability. Through her work, Nika empowers others to live healthier, more balanced lives. Her students describe her as a compassionate, knowledgeable instructor who brings a positive energy to every session.
